Is the supply chain prepared?

It is a fact that the Learning Trips or Technical Trip market has been presenting exponential growth in the last years, as we discussed in our previous article. In recent conversations with some of our competitors, we have demonstrated the linearity of this statement: Many of our customers have been favoring Technical Trips. But the big gap, however, has been the unpreparedness of the supply chain, which is fundamental to the success of the venture.

What we realize is that the market as a whole is not yet 100% ready for this new trend. That’s because the supply chain specializes in incentive leisure, accustomed to offering incredible fun experiences – like that unforgettable Cappadocia balloon flight, a Great Wall dinner, driving on the Monaco racecourse or an old car ride somewhere in the world.

The core business of this supply chain is very much about experience, not technical business.

Here at TMI MICE, we also noticed, a few years ago, that many of the requests to our supply chain were presenting difficulties. Therefore, we decided to go ahead and develop the construction of a new chain, which is one of the great advantages of our services. 

Firstly, because we understand that there is a substantial change in the market, a new demand and need. Secondly, we understand that this need is not superficial; nowadays customers themselves who request for technical trips with content often do not even know what they want. This is something the market is also taking in, and as experts, we always need to have more to offer. 

Basically, current requests are for the company’s own business-related experiences or topics that are in the spotlight today.

We deal with telecommunications companies, paint manufacturers, electrical products, construction industries, all of which usually choose common themes. However, those who already come with the “order” ready – usually sales, trade or marketing managers are the ones who look for us – prefer to present the team with something new and different from the scope itself, a new knowledge. 

Within the expertise that TMI MICE has been developing for a long time, we can offer various formats and adapt to what each customer needs, whether a cycle of lectures with technical visits, a model with immersion in a company of the same industry, meet startups linked to the chosen theme, among so many others.

Whatever the model, our specialty is in making the right choices, linking leisure with the right content for those who are participating. It is no use taking the team to a lecture with a top CEO, but who does not speak the language expected by these participants. 

We are building a new bridge with our supply chain, including excellent relationships with leading institutes and universities around the world, which already bring successful models applied outside Brazil, as well as generous well-established presence so that we have more possibilities in all the countries in which we operate. 

No matter what theme you want to develop, the company’s challenge and the format you need to fit your cost-investment. We have the ability to present a customized project, assertive in the possibilities of each reality.

This is what I see for the future: Huge potential in the Learning Trips market, and those who do not invest in them, will be interested.
