Here at TMI MICE, we already act differently! We have taken on the ESG culture, which represents a paradigm shift by favouring a model of sustainable and integral development, with a focus on environmental protection, responsibility towards society and transparency in decision-making.

  • We look for ways to add values of socio-environmental responsibility to guarantee the success of our trips and events, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their targets, adopted by the United Nations as targets for this great process of caring for and transforming the planet.

  • We believe that sustainable development is the main solution to the environmental crisis facing the planet, as it is the balance between society, nature and the economy.

WE HAVE THE ECOVADIS SEAL

A collaborative platform that allows companies to monitor the sustainable development performance of their suppliers in 150 sectors and 110 countries with the aim of developing corporate social responsibility practices based on their influence on global supply chains.

Our Seal recognises us as a company that demonstrates a relatively strong management system that meets sustainability criteria, as described in the EcoVadis methodology. It is an indicator of our positive intention to always improve our sustainability management performance and generate impact.

WE ARE CARBON NEUTRAL!

We have neutralised our carbon footprint for the years 2020 and 2021, through the Carbon Friendly certification and in 2022 we received the Carbon Neutral certification, with the offsetting of greenhouse gas emissions, all by Moss.Earth, registered by VCS (Verified Carbon Standard), with international certification.

In this way, we are directly supporting environmental conservation projects in the Amazon rainforest: Agrocortex, Fortaleza Ituxi and Florestal Santa Maria. Because here, we believe that leadership and example come from within, from our home.

Our team is prepared to plan and operate all projects with this transformation in mind.

WE ARE PART OF THE TERRAEVENTS FOREST

We have our TERRAEVENTS Forest together with the Treedom.com project. Our trees are geolocalised in 4 countries: Guatemala, Cameroon, Tanzania and Colombia. We have an online page to follow the history of the project we are part of.

ESG CULTURE IN PRACTICE

Environmental

  • We only deal with suppliers who have environmental certifications;
  • We use recyclable packaging, or packaging that uses less plastic in our company and when travelling;
  • We use recycled materials in the company and when travelling;
  • We no longer use paper, we digitise all our communications;
  • We dispose of waste and effluents correctly on a daily basis and when travelling;
  • In order to offset the carbon we use during our trips, we hire companies to calculate our CO² emissions and neutralise them through various projects, such as:

Social

  • We favour dialogue between employees and leaders;
  • We carry out social projects with the local community;
  • We are an investor in GRAAC;
  • We take part in the YOUNG APPRENTICE project, promoting the exchange of knowledge among our professionals for the future generation;
  • We support and carry out inclusion and diversity programmes;
  • We make it possible for women to combine a career and motherhood by creating a favourable environment for this.

Governance

  • We hire suppliers and subcontractors who have integrity;
  • We have a well-defined hierarchy, with specific roles and functions;
  • We have created clear policies that guarantee the security and integrity of personal data (LGPD);
  • We respect diversity and combat all forms of prejudice, and do not accept discrimination of any kind, whether based on race, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, social position, opinion, political conviction, function or any other individual differentiating factor.

Maps – Ágora Project

In this project, the brand is linked to socio-environmental actions and the reversal of the carbon footprint, cultivating spaces and relationships. It benefits companies and the entire community that gravitates around a commercial enterprise – employees, suppliers, clients and consumers – by adopting a public or private space for caring for and living with nature.

Through educational talks on the basic concepts of permaculture, it uses a systemic way of thinking and conceiving ecological principles.

MOSS

Moss is a climate tech, environmental services technology company that operates globally – and is one of the largest digital carbon credit trading platforms in the world. Compensation for the environmental impact caused during the trip is made through the purchase of credits in the amount needed to neutralise the damage, in the form of E-Token and Blockchain technology. The amount paid for the credits is invested in conservation programmes for the Amazon rainforest, in internationally certified and audited projects.
